For more than 30 years, Captain Harlan made his living working on high-voltage power lines as an electrical lineman. But long before that, he was learning life on the water as the first mate aboard his father’s charter boat on Lake Michigan.
Fishing remained a lifelong passion. Throughout his career, he competed in bass tournaments across the country and continued sharpening his skills whenever he had the opportunity to get on the water.
After discovering Florida’s Treasure Coast in 2014, he knew he had found the perfect place for his next chapter. Today, as the licensed captain and owner of Line Life Charters, he has traded working on high lines for helping guests work fishing lines.
